The purpose of the society shall be to maintain and promote The Alberni Project which exists for the collection, preservation, interpretation, conservation, and presentation of Canadian military heritage as experienced through the programs provided by The HMCS ALBERNI Museum and Memorial, TAP mobile educational exhibits, multi media presentations, and website services which include, but is not limited to, the history of HMCS ALBERNI, U480, and their respective crews.
The Alberni Project Society (TAPS) is a registered non-profit society located in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. The Society is not affiliated with any government or DND agencies nor with the Royal Canadian Legion. Funding for TAPS programs is provided by public donations from visitors to HAMM or TAP, private and corporate donations or sponsorships, and municipal grants when they are available.
Membership in TAPS provides you with a voice in how the TAP/HAMM is operated, discounts in our gift shop, special advanced notice of public events, and the occasional news letter. Members will also receive the annual AGM reports either at our AGM or through electronic means. You also get a really cool card you can carry in your wallet or purse.
Annual membership dues run a full 12 months from the time you apply. 1. STUDENT (12-18 years old) $5.00 2.INDIVIDUAL $20.00 3. FAMILY $30.00 4. CORPORATE $50.00 (includes an ad on our website) 5. LIFETIME $100 (no expiration date).

The "I WILL REMEMBER" and "JE ME SOUVIENDRAI" POPPY LOGO IS A TRADEMARK of the Alberni Project Society. Use of either English or French logo is prohibited without expressed written permission from the Alberni Project Society
