Thousands joined us in celebrating our nation’s veterans with a variety of public ceremonies, community involvement, displays and additional exhibits that pay tribute to veterans of all ages and of all service to Canada.


Some of the Events for the Year of the Veteran were:

  5. Chinese Canadian Veterans * (with cooperation with the Chinese Canadian Military Museum of Vancouver)

  6. Valentines for Veterans

  7. Bullet TEAM TAP - RELAY FOR LIFE Veterans March Against Cancer (Veterans Day Weekend)

  8. Bullet Battle of the Atlantic Sunday  (Sponsored by The Dominion History Project and Salsbury House)

  9. Bullet Canadian Merchant Navy Veterans Day (September)

  10. Bullet 100th anniversary of the beginning of WWI* - displays to rotate at TAP throughout the next 4 years.

  11. Bullet Wall of Heroes - Community based memorial wall

  12. Bullet the 70th anniversary of the sinking of HMCS Alberni

  13. Bullet and much more.
